SECURITY
 

Encryption
 

Encryption is a process by which we use software to scramble sensitive information while it is in transit to Fire Farm, Inc. We use Secure Socket Layering (SSL). SSL technology is the industry standard for secure online transactions. It is based on a key that has two different parts: public and private.

The public part of the key is distributed to those you want to communicate with. The private part is for recipients' use only. When you send personal information to us, you use our public key to encrypt your personal information. That means if your information is intercepted during the transmission, it is scrambled and very difficult to decrypt. Once we receive your encrypted personal information, we use the private part of our key to decode it.

To check the security of your connection, look at the lower left-hand corner of your browser window when you proceed to checkout. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending upon your browser), then SSL is active. To double-check for security, look at the URL line of your browser. If you have accessed a secure server, the first characters of the site's address should change from "http" to "https".  All your ordering information -- including your name, address and credit card number -- is encrypted using a secure server for maximum security. Your credit card and billing information cannot be read as it travels to our ordering system.

WARRANTY & RETURNS
 

Limited Warranty
 
In order to serve our customers and subject to the following disclaimers and limitations, Fire Farm Inc. provides the following limited warranty. All Fire Farm, Inc. products are covered by this warranty and we make no other warranties. The warranty shall apply for a period of one (1) year from date of original purchase. The warranty only covers products installed and maintained in accordance with the instructions provided and no warranty is made with respect to any of our products that are otherwise installed or maintained. Defects or failures arising during shipment or due to alteration, misuse, negligence, repair, accident, theft, defective maintenance, damage by and actions of others, acts of God, or where adequate care has not been taken to prevent damage to the product shall not be covered by this warranty. The warranty does not cover products that have been exposed to toxic, nuclear, or corrosive environments, or where operating temperatures fall below -40 degrees C or exceed +100 degrees C. Due to the unsuitability of many cleaning agents such aspects of our products as could be damaged by their use, for example glass finishes, metal meshes, paper and cloth shades are specifically excluded from the terms of this warranty. This warranty does not cover labor, shipping costs, removal or installation, nor does this warranty cover any product not expressly designated an OEM product when it is used as a component of and/or a finished good for a manufactured primary product without the prior written approval of Fire Farm, Inc.

This warranty covers, and Fire Farm, Inc. is liable for only that warranty coverage and damages specifically detailed above. Except as may otherwise be required by law, Fire Farm, Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, even if Fire Farm, Inc. has been advised of the possibility of such damage. This disclaimer applies during and after the warranty period.

If you discover a defect or malfunction during the period to which this warranty applies, repair or replacement is subject to the proper notification and consent of Fire Farm, Inc. as indicated by the issuance of a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.

Limit of Product Liability
 

Fire Farm, Inc. and its suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, special consequential or incidental damages including, without limitation, lost profits or revenues, costs of replacement goods, loss or damage to goods or services arising out of the use or inability to use this site or any product purchased from Fire Farm, Inc., damages resulting from use of or reliance on the information present, even if Fire Farm, Inc. or its suppliers have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Defective Goods
 

Defective components will be replaced by Fire Farm, Inc.

Damaged Goods
 

For transit related damage please file the claim directly with the carrier. Be sure to notify the carrier and Fire Farm, Inc. immediately to report the damage. Please keep all packing materials for carrier inspection.

Return Policy
 

Within 30 days of the receipt of your order, you may return for a refund, less a 25% restocking fee and the initial shipping cost, any lighting fixture or related product that has not been used or installed, is in its original box, and is in resalable condition.

The following types of items and orders do not qualify for returns or refund:

• Large orders: See next section.
• Light bulbs and parts do not qualify for returns unless the error was the fault of Fire Farm, Inc.
• Items not purchased from Fire Farm, Inc.
• Custom orders or products that have been built to order.
• Special Purchases, such as: Inventory Sale Items, Custom Quotes, Special Discounts and the like.
• Bargain Barn items
• Shipping charges
• Rush charges and deposits

Return Policy for "Large Orders"
 

Orders containing a quantity of 10 or more of a single item or orders that have a total invoice cost of over $2000 are classified by Fire Farm, Inc. as "Large Orders". Large Orders are not eligible for return. If you are purchasing a large quantity of an item we recommend first purchasing a sample to make sure that the product meets your requirements and that you are completely satisfied with the product. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure they have all the necessary information and that all their questions have been answered before their order is placed.

Return Policy for International Shipments
 

Items that are returned from locations outside of the United States are subject to a 50% restocking fee. Any additional shipping costs incurred are non-refundable.

Return Policy for Bargain Barn Items
 

Bargain Barn items are all final sale, and do not qualify for returns or refund.

How to Return Products
 

To initiate a return, simply call us at 563-245-3515. A Fire Farm, Inc. customer service representative will issue a Return Merchandise Number (RMA#), provide return shipment instructions, and assist you with all other return questions. Returns must include the original box, packaging, and accessories. After receiving the Return Merchandise Authorization Number, the customer will have 30 days in which to return the product to Fire Farm, Inc. After 30 days, the Return Authorization will expire and no replacements or refunds will be given. No RMA#s will be issued for products shipped more than 6 months prior to the request of return.

• The fixture must be enclosed in the original box with sufficient packaging material and have a Return Merchandise Number (RMA#), issued by Fire Farm, Inc., on the returned box. PRODUCTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A RMA#.
• Please include a copy of the original packing slip, order acknowledgement or invoice inside the package with the RMA# written on it.
• Returns must be shipped prepaid and insured directly to Fire Farm, Inc. by UPS or FedEx, not by US Postal Service. If the return or exchange is due to a Fire Farm, Inc. error, we will reimburse the cost of shipping. Call tags will not be issued.

Products that are Damaged During Return Shipment
 
If the product is damaged during shipment back to Fire Farm, Inc., Fire Farm, Inc. will not be able to issue the customer a refund or credit for the product. We will inform the customer via email that the item(s) was received damaged and we will hold the damaged product up to 45 days. It is the customer's responsibility to file a claim with the shipping carrier and to instruct Fire Farm, Inc. concerning the disposition of the damaged product. If Fire Farm, Inc. has not received notification or response from the customer within 45 days, the item will be field destroyed.


Credits
 
The customer will be notified by credit memo once we have received the returned item and inspected the item for damage. This credit may be applied to open invoices within one year of the return. Please note that we will refund shipping costs only if the return is a result of our error. Rush charges and deposits are not refundable.

Credit Cards
 

All credits will be placed on the card used for the original purchase. Please allow up to two billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement.

ORDERS
 

Acceptance of a sales order shall bind buyer to all policies published by Fire Farm, Inc. at time of sale. Fire Farm, Inc. published policies shall govern in the event of conflict with Buyer's policies unless Fire Farm, Inc. in accepts changes in writing.

Minimum Order
 

None.

Custom Orders
 

Custom orders require a 50% Non-Refundable Deposit with balance plus freight charges due prior to shipping. Fire Farm, Inc. retains the right to reproduce in part or in whole any design submitted for custom fabrication.
 

Quotations
 

Price quotations are valid for 60 days.

Website Orders
 

Once an order is placed on our website, it is sent to the warehouse for processing. If you have over-ordered, or if you have ordered an incorrect item, please contact us to see if it is possible to stop the order before production has begun. Corrections of website-related orders must be received by 7:30 AM CST on the day following order submission.

Fax or Mail Orders
 

An Order Acknowledgment will be sent out after receipt of purchase order. Customers must review and notify the factory of any corrections to non-website-entered orders within 24 hours.

Back Orders 
 

We always endeavor to ship complete orders. In the instance where an incomplete order is shipped, backordered items will remain open and will be shipped as they are ready unless cancelled in writing by the customer prior to shipment.

Order Cancellations
 

Unshipped items can be cancelled as long as the item was not manufactured specifically for you.

"Large Orders" containing a quantity of 10 or more of a single item and orders that have a total invoice cost of over $2000 will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee if production has already commenced for the order.

Non-Website Order Payment Terms
 

Visa, Mastercard, Wire Transfer or Pro-Forma preferred. Credit terms may be available upon application and approval. Orders exceeding $2000 require a non-refundable 50% deposit prior to processing with balance due upon completion and prior to shipment. Credit card payments over $2,000.00 may be subject to a 3% service fee. All prices and professional discounts are subject to change without prior notice. Overdue accounts are subject to a $35.00 late payment fee and the application of finance charges equal to 1.5% APR of the open amount to be applied monthly. Credit privileges may be revoked on overdue accounts. A $25.00 service charge will be applied to account for returned checks.

Sales Tax Information
 

Fire Farm, Inc. collects sales tax on orders shipped in Iowa. However, if you have an Iowa State reseller certificate, then you qualify for tax exempt status and will not be charged sales tax for shipments within Iowa. To establish exemption eligibility, your certificate must be submitted prior to the purchase of the product.

Order Refusal
 
Fire Farm, Inc. reserves the right to refuse and/or cancel any order at any time at its sole discretion.

Shipping Hours of Operation
 

We do not ship on weekends or holidays.

Shipping Carrier
 

All stock products are shipped UPS Ground. If another carrier is requested, a $25.00 handling fee will be applied to purchase order.

Packaging Charges
 

Packaging costs for stock items are included in the price of the product. Special crating charges required for large scale or large volume orders are not included in the purchase price of the product and may be assessed separately.

Stock and Made-to-Order Items
 

Most fixtures are made to order and will ship within 2 to 4 weeks. In some cases where stock is on hand, the order may ship within a day or two. Drop ship services are available at no additional cost.

Custom Orders
 

Custom fabrication may require a longer time depending upon the complexity of the order. Custom lead time is generally 8-12 weeks, and subject to the nature of each project. Please contact our factory if shipping deadlines are a concern, and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule. In some cases we can expedite orders for an additional rush charge. Fire Farm, Inc. may require expedited freight service by the carrier of its discretion to guarantee scheduling and safety in transit of custom items.

International Shipments
 

For our Canadian customers, we offer UPS Canada Standard as a shipping option.

Shipping Cost Calculation
 

Fire Farm, Inc. shipping charges are based upon the service requested, size, weight and destination zone of the product ordered.

Pricing
 

All prices and payment terms are in US Dollars and are subject to change without prior notification. Fire Farm, Inc. reserves the right to provide special or unique pricing for any product or customer at the sole discretion of Fire Farm, Inc.
